Thanks for creating this forum Dr. Pieczenik, I will do my best to sponge up critical information, interpret through the looking glass that is my mind and hopefully add to the dialogue.

"We are raising a generation of Narcissists" ...these adolescents, teens and young adults are watching a Congress that can’t control its manic, euphoric, narcissistic spending, a president that can’t see his way through to applauding genuine and extraordinary achievements in business, a society that blames mass killings on guns, not the psychotic people who wield them, and—here no surprise—a stock market that keeps rising and falling like a roller coaster as bubbles inflate and then, inevitably, burst. That’s really the unavoidable end, by the way. False pride can never be sustained. The bubble of narcissism is always at risk of bursting. That’s why young people are higher on drugs than ever, drunker than ever, smoking more, tattooed more, pierced more and having more and more and more sex, earlier and earlier and earlier, raising babies before they can do it well, because it makes them feel special, for a while. They’re doing anything to distract themselves from the fact that they feel empty inside and unworthy." patriarch, the dollar will collapse.Can't. The US federal government is the issuer of the currency. You, me, our businesses, and all 50 states (& local govts) are the users of the currency. The US dollar cannot collapse domestically (1933), internationally (1971). We have a sovereign non-convertible currency, and we are on a floating exchange rate (since 1971 not pegged to anything). Just like Japan, Australia, Canada, and Great Britain (although David Cameron is too uneducated--too frou-frou in the head--to understand this). This hyperbolic battle-cry about how we can go the way of present-day Greece or Spain, or past-day Germany/Zimbabwe, is blinding so many to the power of prosperity offered by the American fiat monetary system. Once the regular guy in the street--where the power will come from over the next two years--understands how our federal and reserve accounting works, there will be a massive quiet revolution (between the ears, not between physical bodies). In other words, we all have to be made aware of how things work operationally now. No theory. No philosophy. How it works. Clear-eyed. Clear-headed. First step. Put down the gold standard bag of injustices. They're 95 years old. And tell your idiotic congressman to do the same thing.
