The problem you mention is real, however, the reason we cannot get any good candidates is much more subtle.
1. "they" have set up a tilted system, so candidates who are not either R or D have an uphill battle to get on the ballot
2. R & D parties are PRIVATE clubs and only endorse those candidates whom they can control (past indiscretions to blackmail them or character flaws) and who agree to do the party's bidding....at the local and state levels, jobs and contracts.
3. And most of the people who are good and get into politics, they destroy by dragging them through endless court battles, negative publicity in the media they control, and financial ruin from the cost of attorney's fees. I was one of those.
4. So then you have the thought process that says, if you want to get ANYTHING done, you go along to get along and do whatever small good you can do. I am not that politically savvy. I held a hard line for a dozen years and paid an enormous price.
5. And one other thing, there is no appreciation from the public that lasts more than 5 seconds, and they are all so concerned about their personal situation (oh, they might reassess my property if I criticize them and raise my taxes).....and the minute they manage to get me or any other good person out of the way, it goes right back to the way it was BEFORE the altruistic sacrifice.
We can't fix this at the ballot box. Prepare. Let it collapse. Rebuild it in liberty by those who understand the TRUE value of freedom.

BTW, it is just my opinion that the reason "they" fight so hard to keep the system up is that they KNOW that a collapse will benefit patriots. We are in a 'war'. And they use their masses of dumbed down, dependent, sociopaths against us. If the system collapses, that group will experience mass death. And "they" will lose a major portion of their weapon against us.
I would prefer the masses join us in liberty. But I am a realist, and that is not happening. Years of indoctrination and social doles have created a sub species incapable of surviving outside the crime incubator our traitorous controllers have created.
And if the controllers succeed in eliminating the patriots, they will no longer have use for the animalistic masses they have created and will exterminate them also. I'd sooner save the good guys before that happens.
