In a very simplistic fashion, I have observed a particle in water in a bathtub, approach the vortex at the drain. And it may stay in rotation or be forced upward before the speed of the water exiting the drain decreases and the particle eventually empties down the drain also.
Is this a momentary example of this concept in your equation, or is it not at all related. Thanks
