It's not the countries, it's dirty deals done by executives wanting to make fast wealth. I understand this...

Interesting read, thanks for the link. sigh. India aligning with the U.S. as a counter measure to growing militarism in China. It's like being a pup in a pack with several litters and wondering "who's your daddy?" This stuff is enough to make your head feel like it has become a merry go round!

jk..your list of countries does not include saudi's and I've been hearing for several years they are the last of the dominos on the list. and the Saudi's questioning the west's actions last week looked to me to be an 'awakening' by them that they may not be able to trust the U.S. empire

Firecracker, It is not pointing the finger here, and then there, it’s understanding some of the tensions between various countries and how the instability in middle east can affect all.

RH, one of the FEW things I get in all of this is that tensions between countries in the middle east or anywhere over necessities like water or wealth or control can affect us all. But trying to figure out who and how and WHEN and with whom one or several of these are likely to be severely detrimental to U.S. well being, now that's a challenge. Anyway, there are so many actors, I don't have enough fingers to point at all of them! You and JK seem to 'get' all this stuff. Like I said, I'm not cut out for the intrigue. I'll listen in on your chats. You guys seem to speak some 'other' language. Probably because you have been there. Clearly, I am reacting like someone who has never visited or established any kind of relationships in these Middle Eastern countries. And while I try to be open minded and to understand the different cultures, there is still some element of bizzaro in these communist cultures and muslim practices of burkas and rags on their heads. And yes, I know that sounds and is completely rednecked. I'm human. But at least I am trying to understand. I just don't understand why we don't bring OUR troops home, cut off the foreign aid to countries who HATE us, and mind our own business. Afghanistan has been the death of empires (so I hear) for centuries. Will ours die there also?

JK, thanks, I hadn't watched the video in a long time. And, that IS the issue, why ARE American troops dying in that region? Just finished watching, the 'policy coup' has metastasized to a somewhat larger problem, hasn't it? It has been years since I checked into Project for a New American Century. I must review. Thanks, JK.
